Last night I downloaded a track from Bobby V. next album. Like his the two single, "Tell Me", and "Slow Down", this track "Hot" samples from asian instrumentals.
I think its Hot. The Quality isn't great but its something to look forward to. HE mentions Jay-Z in the Refrain. Its not the best refrain but the drum patterns are nice. Not better than "Tell Me", or "Slow Down", but well worth the listen.
"Its not exactly the "Bobby Sound" its the Tim & Bob sound. I love the style personally. I listen to a lot of chinese movie scores and orch music which is what they sample for their work. My favorite by far is the beat for "Tell Me" which samples the them from Jet Li's "Hero." And the composer is Tan Dun, he kicks ass and if you haven't heard any of his compositions then I'd suggest for you guys to listen to the score from "Hero" or "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon""
