Saigon Injured In Robbery Altercation, Assures He Is ‘Good’ Source:
Rapper Saigon and a friend were leaving “The Diner” in Manhattan during the early morning hours of Wednesday when an unexpected event took place. A stranger approached the two men and asked if they sold marijuana. After insisting that they did not, the stranger snatched Saigon’s $18,000 chain and attempted to flea.
Saigon struggled with the man to get his chain back while his partner struck the young man. The mugger, however, was not alone. Another man approached them from behind and struck Saigon in the head with a beer bottle and then cut the side of his head with the sharpened remaining portion. Both muggers dropped their cell phones as they left the scene of the crime.
Saigon was sent to Bellevue Hospital and was treated for a wound to an artery and substantial blood loss. Interestingly, Saigon’s doctor at the hospital was a fan so they proceeded to take pictures with the muggers phone.
According to HipHopGame, “I feel good right now. I feel strange having so much of somebody else’s blood in my body. I still got my shine, not that that really matters to me, but nobody is taking nothing from me,” Saigon stated. Continuing, he said, “You’ll have to kill me to get my sh*t. I got a few stitches in my head from getting stabbed, but I’m good. I’m already out. I was out the next day.”
Saigon’s The Greatest Story Never Told will debut on Atlantic/ Fort Knocks Records. The project, which does not yet have a release date, is being handled primarily by Just Blaze.
