Nas' Baby Mother Speaks on the Jay-Z Truce, Secret Affair with Mary J. Blige Source: SOHH
Penning tell all books seems to be the new paper hustle for honeys involved in hip hop. Karrine “Superhead” Steffans had cheating rappers biting their nails in anticipation when “Confessions of a Video Vixen” dropped last year. Now Carmen Bryan wants in on a piece of the action. Well, sort of...
Many may be familiar with Carmen as the lyrical pawn in Jay-Z’s infamous diss “Super Ugly” where he spit:
Me and the boy A.I. got more in common/Than just ballin’ and rhyming’/Get it? More in Carmen/ I came in your Bentley backseat, skeeted in your Jeep/ Left condoms on your baby seat. Now she has her eye on telling her side of the story and one day turning the manuscript for “Sex, Drugs. And Hip Hop...Oh Did I Mention Love?“ into a musical.
In an interview given to Miss Info for King magazine, Carmen sheds some light on a few topics that were unknown to the general hip hop population, one being in an alleged relationship between Nas and Mary J. Blige.
She also says that the release of the book is what ultimately brought Jay-Z and Nas together:
“I believe the peace treaty is actually the result of the book coming out. But I doubt the book will have any impact on the treaty because I don’t think there really is a 'treaty'. I think that Nas was pressured to [reconcile]. But knowing Nas, he will flip in a minute. I wouldn’t be surprised if next week he has 'Ether 2'.” At the end of the interview Carmen gets a little Maury Povich when she challenges Nas to an “on-air lie dector test” which has me wondering if she is releasing the book for her own ulterior motives. We already have one Superhead, do we really need another one?
