Jay-Z & 50 Cent to Work on Freeway's New Album Source:
50 Cent recently announced on Funk Flex’s Hot 97 radio show that he and Jay-Z have agreed to work on Freeway’s Free At Last LP together. His first release, 2003’s Philadelphia Freeway, wasn’t a huge commercial success, but was critically heralded. In fact west coast emcee Ras Kass shouted him out in a recent interview, saying he put a lot of his co-prisoners hip to the album during his recent bid.
'Where You Been' was leaked to mix tapes and online news sites last summer, but the album has been pushed back repeatedly. 'Free At Last' is supposed to feature The Game, Scarface, Peedi Crakk and Ms. Jade, as well as production by Just Blaze, Scott Scorch, Boola, Mannie Fresh and Chad West. It’s unclear whether 50’s role will extend beyond consultant or co-executive producer. No release date has been set for Freeway’s sophomore effort, which will be through Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Records.
