The stars will be shining on Tuesday in Atlantic City as rapper Jay-Z opens his new nightclub, named the 40/40 club.

Among those expected to attend are Beyonce, Mariah Carey, and Denzel Washington.

The 40/40 club is located right in front of Caesars Resorts on the corner of Missouri and Atlantic Avenues.

Earlier in the day on Wednesday, Jay-Z toured the 15,000 square foot, $3.5 million dollar sports bar and lounge and said the venue is more impressive than he expected.

“When it was all finished, it was like ‘Wow,’” said Jay-Z.

The ultra-sheek and eloquently simple club has television monitors with sports on them everywhere.

And, some famous faces will be appearing on the red carpet to join the celebration of the new club.

“You can have a relaxed atmosphere, you might see some of your local sports figures here,” said Jay-Z, adding, “A-Rod (Alex Rodriquez) is definitely in the building and Diddy and a bunch of people.”

He also explained the meaning behind the 40/40 name has to do with home runs and stolen bases.

“It is actually the most exclusive sports club in baseball cause it combines power and speed. There is only three members, A-Rod, Barry Bonds, and Jose Canseco.”

For $3,000 dollars a night, you can rent the ESPN Hall of Fame room for about 100 guests. Or, you can rent the A-Rod or Caesars room for $1,500 dollars and that holds about 50 people.

Those rooms are already sold-out for the next two-and-a-half months on every Friday and Saturday.
