Having entertained the RWD crew at a party for his new Roc-A-Fella signing, Thierra Marie, Jigga was in the headlines again today aftr being awarded GQ's International Man of The Year award at London's Royal opera House. Sporting a white suit, white and red pinstriped shirt, black tie and black shades, Jay was presented with his award by Pharrell's ex Jade Jagger. He took the opportunity to offer style tips and said that, “the secret is to wear the suit, don’t let the suit wear you.” Last year the award was won by fellow hip hop icon Andre 3000 of Outkast.
As previously reported by RWD, Jigga was in town to promote new Roc-A-Fella artist Teairra Mari and his Rocawear clothing line.
In related news, Hova is standing by his boy Kanye West, after his comments about President Bush last week. “I’m backing Kanye 100%,” he told Billboard. “This is America. You should be able to say what you want to say. We have freedom of speech.”
