Now that Hov is retired, those rare, patented, mind-blowing verses that the god MC has damn near perfected are getting harder and harder to come by. But even while handling his business behind the scenes, Jigga still comes through with the occasional gem or two just to let us all know he's still one of the best to ever do it. With his latest Def Jam artist Young Jeezy dominating the charts, Jay has come out of retirement just long enough to help out with an exclusive bonus track "Go Crazy" to go along with the Snowman's debut album Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101. NEW YORK, NY - August 15, 2005 - After an incredible debut week in which Lets Get It: THUG MOTIVATION 101 sold over 170,000 copies and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Album Chart, the excitement around his project continues to grow as unreleased material hits the airwaves.
On the heels of his successful debut, Jeezy hits off the streets with a blazing summer smash collaboration with Def Jam President and CEO Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter in the form of a special version of "Go Crazy" featuring a new verse from Hova. The collaboration between Jeezy and Jay-Z leaked to radio and due to overwhelming demand from mixers coast to coast the record will be serviced to select DJs today at 3 pm ET.
But the blizzard continues; Jeezy's also giving back to consumers who've already purchased the album. Anyone with an official copy of Lets Get It: THUG MOTIVATION 101 on CD can use their copy of the album to unlock the new version of "Go Crazy" at youngjeezy.defjam.com.
The track will be commercially available through all major digital music retailers on August 16th.
