START OF FOXY BROWN'S TRIAL DELAYED

The start of FOXY BROWN's trial in connection with her alleged nail salon brawl has been pushed back by a week.
The rapper was slated to appear in New York's Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday (28JUL05)) for the beginning of her trial, but the start date has been moved to Friday (05AUG05) at the request of her attorney.
Brown, real name INGA MARCHAND, has been accused of punching and kicking two employees at the Bloomie Nails salon in Chelsea during a 29 August (04) dispute over payment for a pedicure and a manicure.
In May (05), Brown, who faces misdemeanour charges of assault, attempted assault and harassment, rejected a plea bargain - even though it would have kept her out of jail and spared her probation.
The hip-hop star rejected the deal because it would have involved her admitting to a crime.
She says, "I have confidence in the criminal justice system. I am confident that I will be exonerated."
