Late Registration Review

Well Kayne West has made it to his sophomore album and as usual we all are asking “is it better than the first?” I am going to breakdown two points of view, one for the religious R.O.C. supporter and just people that like music. Now the album resembles the first one like it’s a brother. This is not a bad thing if you were already a Kayne fan cause all the songs are good and very soulful. The album pretty much has the same guest appearances from the first album. Kayne just breezes through all his samples and soulful beats.
This album really feels good and the vibes are “black” the old school hot weather, family cookout type feeling. When the album is done you will feel like you just sat down in class and heard the teacher rap his lesson. Kayne is a good lyricist but Jay-Z and Nas easily outdo him. Although I heard the song “We Major” may not be on the album that’s coming August 30th. The album does suffer though, production wise it sounds mono toned, since Kayne makes all his own beats there is not enough different styles, so you will probably not be listening to this 4 weeks from now. The album has some certified hot jams. “We Major”feat. Nas, “Diamonds are Forever”feat. Jay-z, “Gone”feat. Cam'ron, those 3 songs are enough to warrant retail buy (with plastic). So here is my breakdown religious R.O.C supporters this album gets an 8/10 diamonds and it’s not better than the first cause it’s more of the first. (Get it?) You don’t get that same effect like when you first heard Kayne but technically speaking it’s better than the first.
Now just hip-hop lovers well its still a good album if you like Kayne’s soulful style, so it’s still 8/10 diamonds this album is worth owning especially in these harsh times of boring music. –Antman R.O.C. Supporter 8/10 diamonds ______Hip-hop fan 8/10 diamonds
