Field Mob ft Ludacris - "Georgia" (prod. by Just Blaze or Kanye)

Source:

Here's where we've got problems. This song is a trick. Just Blaze flips an obvious sample from Ray's ever-steely "Georgia on my Mind" that sounds like it might be really angelic, until Chris Bridges gets very aggressive and those drums drop. You might initially think this doesn't sound like a Just Blaze production. Just wait a bit and you'll notice he's added that soaring laser sound effect from "Pump It Up" among other gems. It doesn't fit here. I've never understood if Field Mob were satirists or caricatures. I'd really like to sit down with them and talk for a while, see if it's schtick, the whole country-peach cobbler-yessir-slurring like mad-goofball-overalls routine. Because they've always had very distinct voices and sometimes strong words. This song is just too obvious for me. And I'm sure it cost a fortune to clear that sample.
