TORONTO, July 21 /CNW/ - MuchMusic welcomes international rap mogul Jay-Z
to their famed streetlevel headquarters in Toronto for the next exclusive
edition in the "Live@Much" series. Joining Jay-Z will be an all-star posse
of his Roc-A-Fella Records artists - including multiplatinum Grammy-winner
Kanye West, and rising R&B stars Rihanna and Teairra Mari.
"Jay-Z Live@Much" hits the air Friday, July 29th @ 8pm ET, with
Much VJ Rick Campanelli engaging Jay-Z in LIVE interview - and featuring
performances by Kanye West, Rihanna and Teairra Mari.
In signature Much style, our LIVE audience will ask questions along with
viewers coast-to-coast via phone, e-mail, text and Speaker's Corner. Details

(xx)FAST FACTS -- "Jay-Z Live@Much"
Jay-Z (aka Shawn Carter) co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records in 1995 with
hip-hop mogul Damon Dash and Kareem Burke. "The Black Album" (November 2003)
was his final solo release after he announced his retirement as a performer in
September 2003. With nine multiplatinum albums and sales of 20 million
worldwide, Jay-Z has truly achieved rap icon status.
Kanye West will perform the hit single "Diamonds Are Forever" from his
forthcoming August 30th album release "Late Registration". This will mark
West's second performance at Much - the first being at The 2004 MuchMusic
Video Awards. His video for "Diamonds Are Forever" is currently in heavy
rotation on MuchMusic.
Rihanna will take the stage to showcase "Pon De Replay" from her debut
album "Music of the Sun" (in stores August 30th). MuchMusic is now airing the
video for this single in heavy rotation.
Teairra Mari rounds out the performance lineup for "Jay-Z Live@Much".
She'll belt out "Make A Girl Feel" from her self-titled debut album release
(in stores August 2nd).
