West Fans Turned Away

Chaos followed when hundreds of fans were turned away at a recent Kanye West performance at Chicago's House Of Blues.
While thousands turned out for the sold-out concert, countless others tried to rush one of the venue's doors in hopes to get in free. Chicago police officers later arrived on the scene to help control the restless crowd. One person was arrested for disorderly conduct outside the venue.
Despite a rough debut, the rest of the evening went on without a hitch. West was handed the key to the city, had a day named in his honor and received the Hennessey Privilege Award, a reward reserved for outstanding African-Americans. Kanye also received a $10,000 grant and intends to use it for his newly founded Loop Dreams foundation, which encourages youngsters to stay in school.
