Rbk's S. Carter Basketball Mid Footwear Line Hits Stores Nationwide on Friday, March 4th

Bringing the fusion of hip hop culture to the feet of ballers across the country, Rbk has partnered with rap legend Jay-Z and New York Knicks standout Jamal Crawford to debut the latest performance basketball shoe from the S. Carter Collection. Marking a new era in basketball footwear, the S. Carter Basketball Mid launches on Friday, March 4th and will be worn on court by several NBA athletes, including Crawford and Denver Nuggets star Kenyon Martin during the 2004-05 season. The S. Carter Basketball Mid will be available in a black/white colorway for a suggested retail price of $85. Previous shoes in the S. Carter by Rbk lifestyle footwear collection including the S. Carter, S. Carter II and S. Carter Tennis, have been met with rave reviews.
To support the launch of the S. Carter Basketball Mid, Reebok launched a 30-second commercial on March 2nd. The ad, which features Jay-Z and Crawford, is running on MTV, BET, ESPN, ABC, Comedy Central, Spike, Cartoon Network, Turner Networks, NBA Properties, G4 and Fuse. In the spot, Jay-Z gives his approval as elite basketball players display their passing and dunking skills in a futuristic environment. The electrifying new television campaign was developed by Arnell Group, NY and directed by Malik Sayeed.
The S. Carter Basketball Mid will be available in leather with nubuck detailing. The shoe also features a herringbone, high abrasion outsole for traction and durability, a sculpted EVA midsole for lightweight comfort and ankle strap closure for support.
