JAY-Z TO OPEN EDUCATION CENTRE

Hip-hop star JAY-Z has announced plans to open an education centre in New York.
The rapper, whose real name is SHAWN CARTER, will open the S Carter Academy in the spring (05), and will focus on music, sports and fashion, reports MTV.COM.
Enrollment will begin next month (MAR05). The centre will feature in a television commercial starring the 99 PROBLEMS rapper and basketball star JAMAL CRAWFORD promoting the facility for talented youngsters.
