Dame Still Down With Def Jam and More Signings
Source:
Despite early reports that the Dame Dash Music Group inked a deal with Universal Records, reports surfaced that the brash CEO recently signed his venture to Island Def Jam. As reported earlier, Old Dirty Bastard and Nicole Wray are part of the roster and Dash will serve as a consultant to former Roc-A-Fella artists Cam'Ron, Beanie Sigel, Nore and others. Though selling The Roc initially seemed to symbolize the end of the Dash/Jay-Z relationship, the two are likely to work together since Hov is now President of Def Jam. After revealing deals with RZA's Wu Tang Records and M.O.P's First Family imprint, Dash introduced the roster of his new Roc4life imprint with Joe Budden, Raekwon, Young Chris, Oschino, Sparks, Peedi Crakk, Nore and Nature rhyming over Wu Tang Clan's "Triumph" instrumental. Dash just released a Roc4life mixtape hosted by Big Mike. Besides the music, Dame is also keeping busy with fashion as Rocawear recently unveiled a new logo. The new tag features an altered "R" scripted to simultaneously look like a "R" and a "W."
