Stones Throw Throws Down For 2005

In 2005, Stones Throw will celebrate its 9th birthday, and there will be presents for everyone even though we might not all get to share in the cake (and you know if Madlib’s baking it… ooh-wee). Continuing its tradition of hucking quality hip-hop at heads the world over, the label will be dropping three new albums in the first half of the year. Newcomer Koushik Ghoush will release the psych-rock influenced instrumental album Be With on March 22 and longtime pal Medaphoar will release Push Comes To Shove on March 27 (featuring production from Oh No, Jay Dee, Diamond D, Madlib and the Roc-A-Fella himself, Just Blaze). Batting third will be Madlib’s favorite smoked-out alter ego, Quasimoto, who will roll into record shops smelling like hydro and dusty records this Spring.
