Pros: It's nice to see other music players besides the iPOD. It actually looks cooler.
Cons: none yet. To all you iPOD users, relax, sheesh, you guys are so biased in your reviews. Apple is not the end all you know. Go outside and enjoy life and get away from your "simple and perfect" Macs. There is a world out there besides iPODS.

"Competition is good...maybe"

Pros: It's a another competitor in a market that's getting more crowded; competition is good, no matter what and for that alone I'll say Roc's entry into the market should be encouraged and recommended. Clean, if big, look. From the size, I'm guessing it uses a 2.5" drive, which makes hacking a real possibility (like the early Nomad Zens).
Cons: No company track record for a device like this; have to wonder about support down the road and quality in the here and now once the unit becomes available. Screen seems a bit on the small side, considering the overall size of the unit. MP3s and WMAs are well and good, but to be a TRUE iPod alternative they've gotta address the AAC format and iTunes. Stated battery life SHOULD be better, now that Creative and the Zen Touch have raised the bar. Why is it that a $300 price point is seen by too many of the manufacturers as being perfect for a 20GB unit? That said, my 4G 40GB iPod ain't going bye-bye anytime soon.

Pros: To begin with, I don't own Apple products, but am in the market for a jukebox... just review the $%#@ product and quit slamming the people who seem passionate about their IPODS...

Pros: Um...
Cons: Why is every new attempt to copy the iPod in brushed silver dubbed a potential "iPod killer"? The reality is that while iPods have some shortcomings, such as their size and inability to replace sports-friendly flash players (unless you're an idiot), nothing is going to pose a major threat any time soon. The iPod is a great player with fantastic associated software (iTunes) and dozens of useful accessories. Plus, it actually looks cool, unlike these copycat devices that have all of the design appeal of a Dodge Stratus. Give us a break, CNet, and wait for a real challenge to the iPod *suite* before naming the next iPod killer.

Pros: none, wont last long in highly competetive mp3 market
Cons: "rocafella" needs to stick with bling bling music, nice try though, maybe they should come up with another vodka first
