NORE Interview
Source:SixShot
SixShot.com: Tell me about your new album dropping this December? What was your motivation to release an other album?
NORE: This album is called “One Fan A Day”. I just really wanted to dig deep and make my fans happy and that’s what I did. Like I said its called “One Fan A Day”.
SixShot.com: What happened, why is the album dropping this December instead of November?
NORE: We never really had a date ya know what I’m sayin. We never had a rock solid date. Even December is not even rock solid. I’m still working on it, getting material that comes to me.
SixShot.com: What’s your favorite track on the album?
NORE: My favorite track right now is this joint with Mariah Carey and Big Pun.
SixShot.com: What track has the most meaning to you lyrically?
NORE: I got this song called Intervention, it talks about how we smoke a lot we drink a lot we gain weight. That’s my favorite song lyrically.
SixShot.com: What do you think of the state of hip-hop right now?
NORE: I love the state of hip-hop, there is a lot of diverse things going on I’m bugging out on the Reggae tone, other people doing other things. I’m really happy with the state of hip-hop right now.
SixShot.com: Where do you see hip-hop in the next ten years?
NORE: Hopefully all over the world, banging in places like Bangladesh. Hopefully there will be hip-hop radio stations there.
SixShot.com: Do you use the internet?
NORE: Nah, not really.
Sixshot.com: Do you think the internet has an influence on up and coming MC’s?
NORE: I think the internet has a lot to do with the way music gets out there. Sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s bad. If you’re trying to sell your product on the streets it’s bad, when your trying to get your stuff out there and not care who is buying it then it’s a good thing.
SixShot.com: What do you think of the political situation right now?
NORE: I think it’s real confusing. I think there are lots of things going on in politics.
SixShot.com: Did you watch the debates?
NORE: Nah, I heard about it though.
SixShot.com: What’s the difference in this album from your last album?
NORE: I just had a lot more time, it’s still the same old NORE but I had a lot more time to work on it. I worked on the whole album in my own studio no label people were there. It wasn’t stressful at all. I worked on my music when I wanted to.
SixShot.com: How long did it take you to do your album?
NORE: Uh, three months.
SixShot.com: What do you think is the biggest change in the rap game since you started?
NORE: I think the biggest change is a lot of people are getting a whole lot more money. A lot more money is involved. A lot more things going down.
SixShot.com: Do you think the money changes hip-hop? In good way or bad?
NORE: I mean, it’s both. It’s good because you get people out the hood and it’s bad sometimes because people change, ya know.
SixShot.com: What are your plans for the future?
NORE: Well I got five movies coming out, so I’m a dip and dap into that.
Sixshot.com: Can you tell us something about them?
NORE: One is called Treasure of the Mummy, that’s a horror movie and another I stared in this is the one I’m most proud of starring in its State Property 2, I play El Pollo Loco I’m fuckin in the movie just loco, and I’m fuckin mad heat just loco.
SixShot.com: In the Horror movie you play a monster or something?
NORE: Nah, I get killed by a monster. Ha ha.
SixShot.com: What do you like better, movies or music?
NORE: I like music, because at this point in my career, I do things when I want to. Movies is in the front to. I like them both.
SixShot.com: Are you going on any tours?
NORE: Yeah, we are working on going on a tour right now. We got two different tours we are being offered, so we are just going to play off of that.
SixShot.com: Is there anything else you want to get off of your chest?
NORE: Woooo!!! Yeah, check out my five movies I got coming out ya know, and check for my album, it’s dropping soon “One Fan A Day”. That’s it.
