DETROIT, MI - July 1, 2004 - On Friday, July 2nd, Detroit's legendary Pontiac Silverdome will transform into a massive house party with The
Roc.
What was originally billed as a celebration in honor of the NBA champion Detroit Pistons has become the 'Roc-A-Fella 4th of July Takeover' with Jay-Z headlining a huge bill stacked with Roc-A-Fella artists. Confirmed artists on the bill include Cam'ron and Juelz Santana of the Diplomats, the Young Gunz, Memphis Bleek, Freeway, and Roc-Affiliate Twista.
Roc-A-Fella co-founder and CEO Damon Dash will host the event, and has announced that he will donate his substantial appearance fee to his Team Roc Foundation charity. "With all of us so successful and in-demand these days, it's kind of rare to see this kind of collection of The Roc's all-stars gathered together for a show of this size," says Dash. "It's great to come out like the family we are. Reminds me of the Hard Knock Life Tour days. You're definitely going to see more of this from us in the future. We're working on a big package tour right now."
Tickets for the 'Roc-A-Fella 4th of July Takeover' range from $26.50 to $96.50 and are available through Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster.com.
