 THE ROC REPRESENTS AT NATIONAL PUERTO RICAN DAY PARADE IN NYC;
DAMON DASH TO PRESENT $15,000 SCHOLARSHIP TO NPRP FOUNDATION, YOUNG
GUNZ, RELL TO PERFORM ON MAIN STAGE;

NEW YORK, NY - June 9, 2004 -- Damon Dash and The Roc family will be out
and in full effect this Sunday, June 13th for the National Puerto Rican
Day Parade. Fielding three floats this year - a Roc-A-Fella/Rocawear
float, a State Property float, and a float representing Dash1s new
athletic apparel line Team Roc - the Roc will make its way from 45th
Street up the parade1s 5th Avenue route starting at noon. The floats
will feature performances from Roc-A-Fella artists, celebrity guest DJs
and thousands of giveaways from Roc-A-Fella1s street team.
The Roc-A-Fella/Rocawear float will feature Roc-A-Fella recording
srtists Kanye West, Juelz Santana and Memphis Bleek, along with Dash and
co-CEO Kareem 'Biggs' Burke. The State Property float will feature the
entire State Property crew - Beanie Sigel, Freeway, the Young Gunz,
Oschino & Sparks and Peedi Crakk. Finally, the Team Roc float will
feature undisputed junior-middleweight champion boxer Winky Wright and
former champion Felix Trinidad, along with Roc Music artists Rell,
Nicole Wray and Young Steff.
When the three floats arrive at the parade1s 68th Street main stage,
Dash will present a $15,000 scholarship - a $5,000 donated from each of
the three brands - to Carlos Velasquez, the foundation manager of the
National Puerto Rican Day Parade1s Diversity Foundation. Then, the Young
Gunz will perform the smash hit "No Better Love" featuring Rell, from
their certified-gold Roc-A-Fella debut Tough Luv. The events from the
main stage will be broadcast live to millions on WNBC-TV in New York.
2.5 million people are expected to line the parade route on Sunday.
