Darn And I Thought He Was Gone
Ol' Dirty Bastard's Co-manager has addressed the rumor that the rapper
is hopping from Roc-A-Fella Records for Florida based label, Slip-N-Slide.
"Ted Lucas (Slip-N-Slide Founder/CEO) and I are very good friends and
are exploring DVD opportunities together," Jarred Weisfeld explained
to AllHipHop.com. "Ted has built a great music label with
Slip-N-Slide. Dirty and I wish him nothing but success."
Weisfeld said that talk of Dirt leaving his Wu-Tang brethren for
Roc-A-Fella are also without merit.
He said Dirty's upcoming Roc-A-Fella release is his best work to date
and features contributions from various Clan members.
"Dirty never left Wu, he will never leave Wu and his album has 5 songs
produced by The Rza featuring songs with Macy Gray, Ghostface, Method
Man, Buddha Monk. If Wu-Tang does another album there is no chance
Dirty won't be on it."
Ol' Dirty has been a free man for 10 months and Weisfeld said the
colorful rapper was doing great.
"He's concentrating on music, his Dirty clothing line, his DVD,
possible book deals, and wanting to act in movies and television."
A DVD by Ol' Dirty is scheduled to hit shelves in May
