Kanye West Goes Back To 'College'

After various delays, producer Kanye West's star-packed debut album, "The College Dropout," will be released Jan. 27 via Roc-A-Fella. First single "Through the Wire" topped out at No. 88 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart last week, while album cut "Slow Jams" featuring Twista and Jamie Foxx is No. 4 on the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles tally. "Slow Jams" will also appear on Twista's upcoming Atlantic album.

Other tracks set for "The College Dropout" include the Lauryn Hill-sampling "When It All Falls Down," mixtape favorite "Two Words" featuring Mos Def and Freeway, "Breathe In, Breathe Out" featuring Ludacris, "Keep the Receipt" featuring Dirt McGirt and "Champions" featuring Roc-A-Fella honcho Damon Dash and labelmates Beanie Sigel and Cam'Ron.

Additional album cuts include "Heavy Hitters" featuring GLC, "The Good, the Bad, the Ugly" featuring Consequence, "Drug Dealin'," "Jesus Walks" and "Livin' a Movie."

West has gained a high profile in the past few years, having produced tracks for artists such as Jay-Z, DMX, Scarface, Trina and Talib Kweli. He was also behind the boards for "You Don't Know My Name," the first single from Alicia Keys' upcoming J album "The Diary of Alicia Keys."

According to West's entry on the Roc-A-Fella Web site, he is working on tracks with Donell Jones, Sigel and Dead Prez, as well as planning a joint project with Scarface.
