I caught Jay-Z on Rap City this afternoon and found myself mesmerized by the god mc. I love when he does personal interviews because he's a pretty mellow dude, he jokes and just lets it all hang out in interviews. If I wasn't already a huge fan I would have been after that interview. But thats not what everybody has been waiting for since Vol.3, Hov in the booth: Hov killed it in the booth(although it was short and he did the first verse from 'P.S.A', but who hasnt done that in the booth-Dip set, etc.) his second verse; like on the Black Album, was the greatest. Hov made remarks towards people talkin greasy on the radio when they wont in the street, and other things...im just glad I recorded it and am able to rewind it back and hear him kill it again like only he can. It was also crazy when at the end they retired the mic in the basement.....thats a great sign of respect from RAP CITY.
Then later tonight I got to see Jay win the 1st TUBIG Vibe award(thanks to my #1 home lady Ness, always lookin out....you can be my '03 bonnie anytime). Jay did a real quick acceptance speech and basically said that there will only be one BIG, one PAC and hopefully one JAY-Z(to me it'll always be that way).
Man this is the gift and the curse from real, the man just gave us a crazy introspective record(my favorite kinds) and he's leaving........man big woulda been proud of he..............
