Jay-Z Tickets Scalped On Ebay
A day after selling out Madison Square Garden in only a few hours, tickets to Jay-Z's highly anticipated "farewell" concert are now being scalped on EBay and other internet websites for close to $700.
Tickets went on sale for the show at Ticketmaster on September 27 at 9 a.m. and sold out by 5 p.m that same day. Tickets initially ranged from $39.50 to $125 according to the Madison Square website. Meanwhile Ebay bids for the coveted sold out seats began on Ebay yesterday morning. Bids for Loge seats are presently being made at bargain prices as low as $9.99, while pairs of front row seats are commanding up to $700 with prices sure to eclipse the $1000 mark before the bidding's end sometime next week. So far, a total of 24 tickets are being offered on Ebay.
Meanwhile Jay has been active on the performance circuit. Young's latest performance took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico for the Mixshow Power Summit last weekend. Hov took the stage in front of his peers during a 20th anniversary celebration of the classic movie Scarface and its new DVD release. Following classic scenes from every rapper's favorite flick, Hov, dipped in a white suit, hit the stage to classic Reasonable Doubt cuts like "Dead Presidents II" and "Can I Live." He then brought Pharrell aboard to perform "Frontin" before leaving the stage to his Roc-A-Fella fam.
